Glurbs Language Quest -
everything you need to know

What is it?
Glurbs Language Quest is a language learning event Language Angels primary schools. Schools earn points and rise up the leaderboard when their pupils complete language missions in our app Glurbs.
Who is behind Glurbs?
Glurbs was created by teachers and
language experts at Language Angels,
the UK’s leading primary school
language platform (as used by 6,000+
UK schools).
How can your school win?
In Glurbs, lessons and challenges make up different planets. Each time a user completes a planet in Glurbs, you will receive points towards the leaderboard. (Planet 1 - 1 point, planet 2 = 2 points, planet 3 = 3 points, etc.)
Why now?
Primary-age children have a ‘golden
window of opportunity’ when learning
languages is both fun and easy. Young
minds readily absorb information - and
children also tend to be better than
adults at mastering new sounds.
What are the prizes?
There are three cash grants available to
schools: £5,000 to those with more
than 201 pupils; £3,000 to those with
101 to 200; and £2,000 to small
schools with fewer than 100 pupils.
